Dr. Saleh Al-Shebil is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. He obtained his MBA followed by his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2007. Dr.Al-Shebil has taught several courses in marketing including the Principles of Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, Product & Brand Management, and International Marketing. He has served as a member in several departmental, college and university committees in KFUPM. In 2011, he received the first place University award for Using Technology in Teaching, and in 2013 he received the Excellence in Academic Advising award.
Dr.Al-Shebil has also been involved in consulting services for a number private and public entities including the Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and the Ministry of Justice in Saudi Arabia. He has participated in several international conferences, published in the Wall Street Journal and academic journals, and gave several TEDx talks in the Kingdom (TedxDhahran, TedxRiyadh, TedxAlManahij, and TedxKFUPM).
Dr.Al-Shebil is engaged in the community and gave a series of more than thirty talks and workshops in Universities, Chambers of Commerce, hospitals, and community centers. He also was the Jury for the First iRead competition organized by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture. He was honoured to be part of the Committee for the Ghazi AlGosaibi’s Prize for the Most Promising Small/Medium Businesses in the Eastern province in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
On a global level, Dr.Al-Shebil was part of the 2013 Rebrand 100 Global Awards Jury that chose the World’s Best Rebrands. He is active in social media and has had some occasional writings in Saudi Arabia’s AlSharq newspaper online. His passions are marketing, creativity, and education.
